My name is Eric Uys. I was born on the 23rd of September 1977. You do the math. I have been a professional photographer since January 2002. I did a short course in the basics of photography and became instantly hooked. I am mostly self taught (since photography is an art form that requires one to practice it instead of learning theory). I have assisted some well known local and international photographers such as Anton Robert, Gavin O'Neill and Gerda Genis. I am also a digital artist specializing in photo-retouching, image compository and conceptual art/advertising .

I think I am very fortunate because I get to do something I love to do. Photography is an art form in which you get to create images that both inspire and please the viewer. I have been using Photoshop as a tool to enhance my images since I started. I have been using Photoshop for over 6 years and my area of expertise allows me to create almost anything that I want. I can use this same expertise to give my clients exactly what they need.

I am constantly striving to attain perfection. A journey that will take me the rest of my life. I believe that no-one person can ever be perfect. Now I can go into a whole big debate about life and throw in some of own brand of philosophy but you also need to learn to have fun while doing things. If you don't have fun doing things, why bother doing them at alll?
